‘Old money’ has stronger Bitcoin ‘diamond hands,’ says BingX exec
Summary
BingX chief strategy officer Kevin Lee says wealthy traditional investors increasingly view Bitcoin as a long-term portfolio diversifier, rather than a short-term bet. He gave the example of allocating 5% each to gold and Bitcoin. A CoinShares survey of 2,230 investors with at least $500,000 in investable assets found long-term appreciation and diversification were the leading reasons crypto holders invested; 80% held Bitcoin. But adoption among family offices remains limited: a JPMorgan survey found 89% had no crypto exposure, with average crypto and digital-asset allocations at 0.4%.
