Ondo unlocks BlackRock portfolio strategies, but only non-US traders benefit

Ondo Finance launched three on-chain portfolio tokens based on investment strategies developed by BlackRock: High Income, Diversified Growth and High Growth. The tokens are securities issued and administered by Ondo, not shares in BlackRock funds. BlackRock provides model allocations but does not manage the portfolios or owe duties to tokenholders; Ondo chooses how to implement and update them. Direct minting and redemption are limited to eligible non-US investors who complete identity and compliance checks. Although tokens can be transferred on-chain, holders who cannot redeem with Ondo must rely on a willing third-party buyer, with no guarantee of liquidity or a particular price.
