Phantom wallet resolves balance display bug after user concerns

On August 15, several users reported issues with their applications, including missing or incorrect token balances, leading to hacking concerns. Phantom quickly addressed and resolved the issue, ensuring that it did not impact user funds. Phantom Wallet, launched in 2021, has over 7 million monthly active users as of April 2024, primarily due to the memecoin frenzy within the Solana ecosystem. Despite its popularity and rapid growth, Phantom ranks third among the top 10 crypto wallet applications, behind Bitget Wallet and MetaMask. The wallet's popularity has attracted malicious players who recently launched a fraudulent app on the App Store mimicking Phantom Wallet, leading to the loss of users' funds.
