Poland upholds crypto bill veto as Zondacrypto scandal widens
Poland’s lower house failed again to overturn President Karol Nawrocki’s veto of a crypto bill, falling 25 votes short of the three-fifths majority needed. The legislation would have created Poland’s framework for implementing the EU’s MiCA rules and assigned crypto oversight to the Financial Supervision Authority (KNF). KNF says Poland still lacks a designated crypto supervisor even though MiCA already applies across the EU. Nawrocki says he supports regulation but opposes rules he считает too broad and costly.
