Public companies double share of blockchain revenue since 2022: Report
Publicly traded companies’ share of blockchain industry revenue rose to 16% in 2026 from 7% in 2022, even as total revenue is projected to fall 28% to about $100 billion. A 1kx report attributes the increase to new listings and revenue growth among established firms; the top six public companies generated roughly half to 60% of the group’s revenue. Coinbase and Circle earned about $3.3 billion combined in the first half, while public Bitcoin miners earned around $2 billion. Revenue from broader economic activity—including tokenized assets, payments and prediction markets—overtook infrastructure revenue in the third quarter. Tokenized real-world assets grew about 51% year over year to $39.54 billion, while tokenized equities rose 471% to $3.77 billion.
