Real Trump Coins denies launching GOLD after token collapse
Real Trump Coins denied launching, promoting, or authorizing the Trump Digital GOLD token, saying “third-party bad actors” were behind the promotion and that it was working with authorities. The denial came after its X account promoted a Solana-based token and directed users to RealTrumpCoins.com, where GOLD was advertised; those posts were later deleted and the account now points to TrumpCoins.com. The incident raised confusion because both the X account and the domain appeared tied to the promotion. On-chain data showed an extremely concentrated launch: the developer and newly created wallets reportedly controlled 82.45% of supply, and team-linked wallets sold holdings for about $330,000, allegedly netting about $312,000. RealTrumpCoins.com still displayed the GOLD promotion at publication time.
