Ripple-Owned Metaco Sees Most of Execs and Marketing Teams Depart: Source
Cryptocurrency custody firm Metaco, acquired by Ripple for $250 million, has experienced a significant departure of executives and marketing teams since the deal closed last year. CEO Adriene Treccani, chief product officer Peter Demeo, CTO and chief customer officer Angel Nunez, head of sales Craig Perrin, marketing manager Mei Li Powell, and marketing officers Gene Peterson and Rahul Mudgal have all left the Switzerland-based firm. Prior to its acquisition by Ripple, Metaco was a preferred partner for European banks needing assistance with digital asset custody. Despite recently signing up HSBC, there have been reports of banks reassessing their relationship with Metaco following the acquisition. Ripple has not commented on the departures.
