Samsung Wallet Taps Solana for USDC Transfers on 82M US Galaxy Devices
Summary
Samsung Wallet and Samsung Pay will let U.S. users send USDC across borders on Solana starting in the last week of October. The service will reach 82 million U.S. Galaxy devices and include fiat conversion to and from local currencies, with Solana operating in the background. Samsung previously announced plans for native stablecoin support but had not specified the issuer, blockchain or launch date. The companies have not disclosed whether Circle is directly involved, whether users control their own keys, or transfer fees. Additional markets are planned, subject to local regulations.
