Sui’s Hashi Bitcoin Finance Network Launches With More Than $500 Million Committed
Summary
Sui’s Bitcoin finance system, Hashi, is set for a phased mainnet launch later this month with more than $500 million in capital commitments. It will let users deploy Bitcoin as collateral in Sui applications via hBTC, while the underlying BTC remains secured on Bitcoin. Anchorage Digital is joining the launch coalition, offering institutional access through qualified-custody and self-custody infrastructure. The committed capital is intended to support lending, credit, vaults and structured products, though actual usage after launch remains unproven. Hashi uses a 2-of-2 multisignature design and says its contracts were formally verified and its cryptographic protocol reviewed.
