Shitcoins, AI Agents and Hot Dogs: Crypto Game 'DX Terminal' Is a Wild Experiment
Thousands of AI agents trained on Solana transactions are participating in a crypto game called DX Terminal, simulating meme coin trading. The agents, minted as NFTs on Coinbase’s Ethereum layer-2 network Base, compete to acquire the in-game token WEBCOIN while navigating economic challenges. Players can influence their agents to engage in pump-and-dump schemes or allow them to trade autonomously. The first day saw a surge in interest for hot dog-themed tokens, with one token, HOTDOGZ, increasing over 29 million percent. DX Terminal intentionally excludes monetary rewards to avoid speculation, focusing instead on providing a realistic trading experience. The experiment runs until May 22, aiming to offer insights into user engagement and market behavior.
