Solana sees record 263K tokens issued in a single day
Solana set a new record for daily token issuance, with more than 263,000 SPL tokens minted in one day, exceeding the peak levels seen during the late-2024 memecoin boom. Of the tokens launched through launchpads, most came from Pump.fun, which created 34,184 of 40,360 launchpad-issued tokens. Launchpads make it easy to create and trade memecoins by automating token creation and providing immediate liquidity. Pump.fun remains Solana’s top native protocol by daily revenue, generating about $1.8 million in 24 hours, though it was briefly surpassed last Friday by Fomo, a trading app with social features. Even as memecoin activity has cooled, Pump.fun still contributed one-third of Solana’s first-quarter 2026 revenue, or $124 million out of $342 million.
