Triple-A confirms treasury-wallet breach after losses reach $11.8M
Triple-A, a Singapore-based stablecoin payments firm, said unauthorized access to its treasury wallets led to a loss of company-owned digital assets. It detected the breach on Saturday and briefly put some services into maintenance mode while securing affected systems. Client funds were not affected because they are kept separately in trust accounts and not custody-held by Triple-A. The company did not disclose the loss amount, though outside estimates put it around $11.8 million. Triple-A said the impact was limited to operational accounts, would be covered by treasury reserves, and that services had resumed normally. It is working with cybersecurity experts, blockchain forensics firms, and Singapore authorities to investigate and attempt recovery.
