Webull expands crypto trading into Canada through Coinbase collaboration

Summary

Webull is expanding its Canadian platform to include cryptocurrency trading, adding Canada to its crypto presence in the U.S., Australia, and Brazil. The Canadian crypto service will use Coinbase’s Crypto-as-a-Service infrastructure for trading and custody. Webull’s Canadian site currently lists 10 cryptocurrencies, including Bitcoin, Ether, and Solana, with more available. The move extends Webull’s Canadian offering beyond stocks, ETFs, and options. Webull said the expansion reflects rising crypto adoption in Canada, citing Ontario Securities Commission data showing digital asset ownership at 25% this year, up from 10% in 2023. The launch comes as Canadian regulators work toward clearer crypto rules, including proposed federal stablecoin requirements.
