£10K Reward Offered After UK Couple Attacked in Crypto Home Invasion
Three men broke into a Solihull home near Birmingham and forced a couple to transfer a large amount of cryptocurrency, while a fourth person gave instructions over a video call. Police believe the attack was planned and targeted. The husband was assaulted and seriously injured, and his pregnant wife was threatened with a knife. The attackers also stole several high-value watches and escaped in what is thought to have been a black BMW X3. Crimestoppers is offering up to £10,000 for information leading to arrests and convictions. Investigators say four people were involved and that others may have knowledge of the attack or sudden signs of wealth afterward. The case reflects a wider rise in home invasion robberies targeting crypto holders across Europe.
