A tiny cluster of Solana bots unlocked a 3x trading advantage by routing through one proprietary protocol
A study of Solana trading bots found large performance differences within one small bot cluster. In 244,733 transactions that invoked HumidiFi, 62.3% showed a positive WSOL balance change, versus 21.01% across 218,678 other transactions in the same 12-address group, a rate ratio of about 2.97. The study analyzed 200 addresses tied to two bot services, sampled from Oct. 1 to Nov. 1, 2025, and clustered 158 of them by trading behavior; 56 addresses across three clusters were classified as MEV-like, showing arbitrage-style round trips and heavy WSOL use. Route choice varied by cluster, with one group concentrated on Pump.fun and the HumidiFi-linked group routing heavily through Jupiter and proprietary AMMs. The WSOL metric measured pre- and post-transaction balance changes, so it shows correlation, not causation, and does not isolate fees, tips, or full strategy returns.
