Alpaca raises $135M to fund tokenized agent-first infrastructure
Summary
Alpaca raised $135 million in a round led by Peak XV and secured up to $300 million in debt financing from Payward and BMO. The company was last valued at $1.15 billion after a January Series D that raised $150 million. It plans to use the capital to expand its agent-first brokerage and API-first prime brokerage infrastructure. Alpaca said demand is rising for regulated financial infrastructure as tokenization and AI create new market products and participants. Its brokerage, clearing, and custody systems also support Binance’s stock trading product.
