Binance to launch crypto payments in Kyrgyzstan with new partnership
Binance signed a memorandum of understanding with Kyrgyzstan’s National Agency for Investments to implement crypto payment infrastructure and blockchain education. The agreement was formalized during the first meeting of the Council for the Development of Digital Assets, attended by President Sadyr Japarov. Binance will introduce Binance Pay in Kyrgyzstan for crypto transactions and collaborate on educational programs through Binance Academy with local government and financial institutions. President Japarov also signed a law for a central bank digital currency (CBDC) pilot project, granting the "digital som" legal tender status. Kyrgyzstan is known for its cryptocurrency mining potential due to abundant hydroelectric resources. Binance is expanding partnerships with governments globally to enhance its influence in the cryptocurrency sector.
