Bitget Wallet Says Global Downloads Have Passed 40 Million
Bitget says its self-custody wallet has surpassed 40 million cumulative downloads, signaling strong distribution as it expands beyond a traditional exchange. The figure should be interpreted as total installs, not active users, since downloads can include multiple devices, reinstalls, and inactive accounts. Even so, the milestone matters because a large installed base can help Bitget push swaps, DeFi access, tokenized-stock products, and other in-wallet services. More broadly, self-custody wallets are evolving into full trading platforms, combining storage with trading, token discovery, yield, and cross-chain transfers. That makes user distribution strategically important: if downloads convert into repeat activity, the wallet becomes a gateway to onchain financial products. The most relevant next metrics are active wallets, transaction frequency, and adoption of newer features.
