Crypto Compliance Platform Keyring Raises $6M to Unlock DeFi for Institutions
London-based firm Keyring has secured $6 million in venture capital funding to expand its on-chain compliance platform for institutional investors and protocols. The seed investment round was led by Gumi Cryptos Capital and Greenfield Capital, with participation from Motier Ventures, Kima Ventures, and others. The funding comes as global financial hubs establish rules for companies' interaction with digital assets, enabling more institutions to offer crypto services. Keyring's platform assists financial institutional investors in interacting with decentralized finance platforms in a compliant manner, while also protecting privacy and sensitive data using zero-knowledge proof technology. The company recently facilitated a proof of concept trial with Laser Digital, Nomura's crypto arm, by building a compliance wrapper on Circle's USDC stablecoin.
