Crypto Exchange OKX Debuts Social Platform Linking Posts to Trades

Summary

OKX has launched Orbit, a new social networking feature within its trading app, enabling users to discuss markets, share trading performance, and execute trades directly from interactive posts. Orbit incorporates real-time discussions, trade idea postings, livestreams, and group formation, with links to tradable assets using cashtags like $BTC and $ETH. The feature addresses credibility concerns in trading communities by allowing users to display verifiable performance metrics on their profiles, including holdings, profit and loss, trading history, and leverage—all update in real time and are based on users’ actual trading activity. Data display is optional, but cannot be selectively edited. Orbit also introduces creator rewards based on follower engagement, content creation, and community-building. Users must pass identity verification and comply with know-your-customer (KYC) and anti-money laundering (AML) requirements. The feature is not available in the U.S., Europe, Singapore, Australia, or the UAE at launch. Initial access is limited to select users, with broader availability planned following a beta period.
