Crypto Stocks Jump as Bitcoin, Ethereum and XRP Hit Multi-Week Highs
Bitcoin surged above $94,000 on Monday, reaching a recent high of $94,634 and marking a more than 3% gain in 24 hours. Ethereum and XRP also rose, with ETH up 3% to $3,241 and XRP jumping 11% to $2.34, its highest since November. Crypto-related stocks responded positively: Coinbase stock closed up nearly 8% at just under $255, and Robinhood climbed almost 7% to $123, both benefiting from heightened interest in crypto trading and new promotions. Smaller crypto firms saw even larger gains; Iris Energy rose 13% after a $9.7 billion deal with Microsoft, and Hut 8 gained 13.6% to $58.25 following a $7 billion, Google-backed AI agreement. Other notable gains included Gemini, BitMine Immersion Technologies, and Strategy, which increased between 5% and 7% on the day.
