Deutsche Bank prepares German crypto custody launch, eyes Asia: Report

Summary

Deutsche Bank plans to launch crypto custody services in Germany and expand into Asian financial centers in 2027. The service is expected to support Bitcoin, Ether and selected stablecoins, including USDC, EURC and EURAU. The bank says growing digital-asset activity is driving the move, which also supports its corporate-banking growth targets. BaFin has authorized the offering under MiCA, and Deutsche Bank had expected approval in October. The bank partnered with Taurus in 2023 to develop its custody capabilities.
