Eclair merges fixes for Lightning flaws that could burn Bitcoin in fees
Summary
Eclair merged two fixes on Oct. 2 and 5 for vulnerabilities that could cause Bitcoin nodes to overpay mining fees. One limits fee increases a peer can request during dual-funded channel openings or splicing when Eclair contributes funds. The other verifies actual transaction fees and change outputs when Eclair uses a potentially compromised Bitcoin Core backend but retains signing keys. Both fixes were merged after the latest listed release, v0.14.3, so operators should confirm their installed build includes them.
