Hong Kong crypto giant HashKey merges regional exchange into one
Summary
HashKey Holdings merged HashKey Exchange and HashKey Global into one platform and app, combining its Hong Kong, Singapore, Dubai, and Bermuda operations. The new setup uses a “unified entry, localized compliance” model: all users access the same app, while compliance and regulatory handling are managed separately for each jurisdiction. HashKey says this simplifies access while staying aligned with local rules. The move reflects a shift away from the early virtual asset model of region-specific silos. Similar unified-platform approaches are used by other exchanges, including OKX and Kraken, which route customers to different legal entities behind a single front end.
