Invesco Hires JP Morgan Veteran to Lead Its $1.6 Billion Crypto ETF Business
Invesco has appointed Kathleen Wrynn, a blockchain veteran from JP Morgan Chase, as the global head of digital assets, overseeing a billion-dollar digital asset portfolio. This newly created role includes managing tokenized assets and cryptocurrency investments, as well as initiatives to integrate cryptocurrencies into investment strategies. Invesco manages $1.6 billion in digital asset ETFs, including Blockchain and Crypto Ecosystem ETFs. A Coinbase report indicates that 60% of surveyed Fortune 500 companies are investing in blockchain projects. Chainalysis reports that 70% of crypto activity in North America involves transfers over $1 million, reflecting strong institutional interest. Over 120 public companies have established Bitcoin treasuries, with others planning to acquire assets like Ethereum and Solana. Pro-crypto policies have been promoted by U.S. President Donald Trump, including executive orders to protect Bitcoin miners and establish a strategic Bitcoin reserve.
