Japan’s Remixpoint Dumps Ethereum, XRP in Shift to Bitcoin-Only Treasury
Japanese public company Remixpoint sold all of its Ethereum, Solana, XRP, and Dogecoin on Sept. 1, leaving Bitcoin as its only cryptocurrency treasury asset. The altcoins were sold for ¥878.8 million ($4.47 million), above a book value of ¥761.0 million ($3.87 million), producing a ¥117.8 million ($598,400) gain. Ethereum and Solana were profitable, XRP added a smaller gain, and Dogecoin was the only loss. Before the sale, Ethereum and Solana had also generated ¥29.9 million in staking rewards. Remixpoint said it exited altcoins after considering market conditions, risk-return profiles, and financial strategy. Its crypto policy now centers on Bitcoin to improve clarity and capital efficiency. Bitcoin lending brought in 14.92 BTC in fees worth ¥164.2 million ($834,300). Bitcoin Treasuries reports Remixpoint holds 1,501 BTC, worth about $116.1 million.
