Venture capital funding in the crypto industry is experiencing stagnation, with firms facing challenges in closing new funds. Key investment themes include blockchain infrastructure, AI, decentralized physical infrastructure networks, tokenization, payments, and real-world assets. Notable funding deals in June included Rails, which raised $20 million for a hybrid trading platform; Beam, securing $7 million for stablecoin payment services; and Frachtis, launching a $20 million fund for decentralized AI projects. Inference Labs raised $6.3 million for a cryptographic trust layer for AI agents. Gradient Network obtained $10 million for decentralized AI infrastructure on Solana.
