Kazakhstan court orders curbs on Coinbase, BingX and four others
Summary
Kazakhstan’s Astana International Financial Centre court ordered six crypto platforms—BingX, Bitcoin.com, HTX, BitMart, Coinbase and WEEX—to stop offering digital-asset services without authorization. The injunctions also require Google and Apple to restrict access to the platforms’ apps in Kazakhstan. LBank was removed from the order after its operator blocked local access. The regulator says unlicensed services lack protections available through licensed firms, including asset safeguards and dispute resolution. AFSA said it warned more than 20 platforms in 2025; nine restricted access voluntarily and seven expressed interest in licensing. The court action follows earlier efforts to block unregistered exchanges in the country.
