Morgan Stanley Expands Crypto Push With Ethereum and Solana ETPs

Summary

Morgan Stanley Investment Management is expanding its crypto lineup beyond Bitcoin with two new exchange-traded products: the Morgan Stanley Ethereum Trust (MSSE) and Morgan Stanley Solana Trust (MSOL). Both funds will track their respective spot prices, charge a 0.14% expense ratio, stake part of their holdings, and distribute staking rewards to investors. The launch builds on the firm’s April rollout of a spot Bitcoin Trust, which had gathered more than $381 million in assets by July 16. Morgan Stanley says its ETF and ETP platform now exceeds $14 billion in assets across 22 products. The move fits a broader digital-asset strategy that includes exploring tokenized money market funds, blockchain-based products, and digital asset tax-management tools. Morgan Stanley also recently enabled spot Bitcoin, Ethereum, and Solana trading for eligible E*TRADE customers through Zero Hash.
