Moscow Exchange sets Dec. 1 to launch Bitcoin and Ethereum trading

Summary

The Bank of Russia finalized rules allowing non-qualified investors to buy Bitcoin, Ethereum and USDT from Nov. 17 through brokers, asset managers, crypto exchangers, exchanges or over the counter. Purchases are capped at 300,000 rubles per calendar year through each intermediary, with prior and pending orders included, and investors must pass a risk test. Qualified investors can access other cryptoassets without the list or cap but must also take the test. Moscow Exchange plans to begin offering the three assets from Dec. 1, initially through pilot trades and using National Clearing Centre clearing.
