Most Trump Crypto Dinner VIPs Have Moved or Dumped Their Coins
The majority of TRUMP meme coin holders lost their tokens before attending President Trump’s gala dinner at Trump National Golf Course. On-chain data reveals only eight of the top 25 VIPs retained TRUMP tokens after the event, with most transferring their holdings to centralized exchanges shortly after a May 12 snapshot. Justin Sun, founder of the Tron network, remains the largest holder with nearly 1.4 million TRUMP tokens valued at approximately $18.8 million. The average holdings of VIPs decreased from around $4.78 million to about $2.11 million, largely due to the top two holders. VIPs who sold or transferred their tokens will miss out on a limited edition NFT awarded for maintaining balances. Critics argue this behavior supports claims of “pay-for-play” tactics for presidential access, prompting protests and calls for an ethics probe regarding potential corruption linked to the dinner. TRUMP's value has dropped over 14% in the last 24 hours, now down nearly 82% from its January peak.
