'Off the Grid' NFT Sales Heating Up as Avalanche Game Plots Expansion to Steam
Avalanche shooter Off the Grid has begun transitioning its player base to the GUNZ mainnet, allowing trading of in-game items for GUN tokens. Currently, only about 0.13% of players can trade, yet significant sales have occurred, with items fetching thousands of dollars in crypto. The game plans to expand to Steam in June, despite Steam's ban on blockchain games. Off the Grid is also available on PlayStation and Xbox, which do not support crypto features. Approximately 16.5 million wallets exist on the GUNZ testnet, while only 21,000 players are on the mainnet. Rare items like the Prankster tactical vest have sold for $2,393, and collectors anticipate updates that could increase demand and prices for rare skins. The Pioneer set is considered the rarest, while the Prankster set is currently more sought after due to its aesthetic appeal.
