Nearly 90% of large businesses are embracing tokenized cash to speed up payments: DBS
Summary
A DBS-commissioned survey of 422 finance and business leaders found 88% of large companies have deployed or are testing tokenized money. 24% use it at scale and 43% in selected markets; stablecoins were the most-used or planned instrument, followed by tokenized deposits and tokenized money market funds. Respondents cited faster cross-border payments and improved treasury liquidity as key benefits, while regulatory uncertainty, security and integration remain barriers. Many want banks to provide access and implementation support. DBS and Citi have also reported corporate tokenized-money services, including a DBS-Citi weekend dollar transfer between Singapore and New York that settled in minutes.
