Open USD supply hits $666 million as 10 wallets trap most tokens
Open USD (OUSD) had $666.3 million outstanding on Oct. 5, but most remained in launch or custody wallets. Crystal Intelligence found that ten wallets held 74% of supply, with 71% on Tempo; $396 million in Tempo wallets and $200 million held at Coinbase had not moved from those allocations. Decentralized-exchange trading totaled about $4.1 million during the first week, mostly on Solana, while Tempo recorded only about $17,000. Of 11,544 Tempo transfers, 73% were fee payments worth just $3.33. These figures show limited measured circulation but cannot establish whether tokens were used within custody accounts or for off-chain payments, nor that the launch has failed. Broader circulation, redemptions and exchange activity are key future indicators.
