Ordinals advocate Leonidas proposes new Bitcoin client: ‘$DOG Mode’
Leonidas, a Bitcoin Ordinals समर्थक, proposed a new open-source Bitcoin client called “Bitcoin $DOG Mode” to remove policy limits that hinder Runes and Ordinals transactions. The client would raise the maximum transaction size to 3.9 million weight units, far above Bitcoin Core’s 400,000 WU, and reduce the dust limit to 1 satoshi from roughly 294–546 sats. Those changes would make it easier to include large Ordinals inscriptions and Runes transfers in a single transaction and avoid output “padding” needed for broadcast on default Bitcoin Core nodes. Leonidas argued that Bitcoin Core and Bitcoin Knots enforce rules not required by Bitcoin itself. The plan is for $DOG Mode to gain enough users that Bitcoin Core may eventually relax its own restrictions.
