Robinhood Posts Best Quarter Ever as Prediction Market and Robinhood Chain Take Off

Summary

Robinhood posted record Q2 revenue of $1.31 billion, up 32% year over year and above estimates, with net income rising to $573 million, or $0.62 per share. Platform assets reached $369 billion, net deposits hit a record $21.7 billion, and Gold subscribers grew to 4.8 million. Transaction-based revenue climbed 44% to $776 million, driven by strong growth in event contracts, options, and equities. Prediction-market event contracts generated $156 million, more than 10x last year. Options brought in $342 million and equities $129 million. Crypto was the weak spot: revenue fell 38% to $100 million and total crypto trading volume dropped to $40 billion from $66 billion in Q1. Even so, Robinhood continued its crypto push with Robinhood Chain, a public mainnet for tokenized assets, plus stock tokens in Robinhood Wallet. It also highlighted its new prediction markets exchange, Rothera, and AI-enabled “agentic trading.”
