Strategy has $785 million left to close STRC’s final $5 gap after selling $213 million in Bitcoin
Strategy’s preferred stock STRC has recovered to about $95, moving closer to its $100 target as the company supports the shares with buybacks and a 12% dividend. Over the past three weeks, Strategy repurchased about 2.3 million STRC shares for roughly $214.8 million, including a $108.6 million purchase in the latest week. It still has $785.2 million remaining under its $1 billion repurchase authorization. To fund these purchases, Strategy has increasingly sold Bitcoin, including 1,690 BTC for $108.6 million in the latest week. Over two weeks, it sold 3,328 BTC for about $213.3 million while spending $189.8 million on STRC. Its Bitcoin holdings fell to 840,447 BTC, though the treasury remains enormous. Strategy also boosted its USD reserve to a record $4.65 billion through MSTR share issuance, giving it about 2.7 years of coverage for preferred dividends and interest. The growing reserve and BTC monetization reflect a broader capital-management framework aimed at stabilizing STRC and lowering financing pressure.
