Strive buys 1,800 Bitcoin for $143M, becomes fifth-biggest corporate holder
Strive, a publicly traded asset manager and Bitcoin treasury company, bought 1,800 BTC for about $143 million between Aug. 24 and Aug. 28 at an average price of $79,431 per coin. The purchase lifted its total holdings to 23,156 BTC from 21,356 BTC a week earlier. The company had also added 1,110 BTC the previous week, showing a faster accumulation pace that increased its holdings by about 8.4% in five business days. The new total pushed Strive past Bullish to become the fifth-largest publicly traded corporate Bitcoin holder. The buying came as Bitcoin rebounded alongside broader markets after the US Treasury announced expanded bond buybacks, helping drive BTC above $81,000. Other corporate buyers also returned: Strategy resumed purchases, adding 4,603 BTC and lifting its holdings back above 845,000 BTC.
