Wallet in Telegram rebrands to Walt as Gram wallet debuts

Telegram is splitting its crypto offering into two connected products: a native self-custodial Gram wallet and the broader Wallet in Telegram, now rebranded as Walt. Gram wallet is being rolled out as the default wallet in Telegram settings and will handle everyday transactions such as payments, transfers, Telegram Collectibles, and purchases. Walt will no longer be the default wallet and will instead be found via search. It will focus on broader crypto and financial services, including trading, investing, multichain deposits, more than 300 crypto assets, tokenized stocks, ETFs, metals, yield products, and perpetual futures. Gram will act as Telegram’s transaction layer, while Walt remains linked for multichain funding.
