Tom Lee Predicts $250K Ethereum Price as BitMine Adds to $13 Billion Stash
BitMine Immersion Technologies acquired 32,977 ETH (about $104 million) in the last week of 2025, bringing total holdings to over 4.14 million ETH, valued at over $13 billion and representing about 3.4% of circulating ETH. BitMine aims to reach 5% of the total ETH supply. Chairman Tom Lee highlighted BitMine’s accelerated ETH accumulation, calling it the largest "fresh money" ETH buyer globally. Lee forecasted ETH could reach $250,000 and predicted BitMine’s shares (BMNR) could hit $5,000, pending stock splits. The company seeks shareholder approval to increase its authorized share count from 500 million to 50 billion, citing stock splits and capital market activities as reasons, aiming to keep the stock price accessible. Shareholders are urged to vote on this by January 14. Other meeting items include electing directors and approving compensation plans. BitMine’s shares rose about 4% to $32.49, up nearly 15% over five days. The firm is the largest Ethereum treasury and the second-largest public crypto treasury after Strategy, which holds $63 billion in Bitcoin. BitMine also holds $915 million in cash and 192 BTC ($18 million).
