United Nations, Algorand Network To Launch Blockchain Academy In 2024
The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) plans to provide blockchain training for its 22,000 employees. The objective is to equip the staff with the knowledge and skills to promote sustainable development and tackle poverty-related issues. To achieve this, UNDP has partnered with the Algorand Foundation to create a blockchain academy that will open in 2024. The institution aims to provide comprehensive education on blockchain technology and its real-world applications for sustainable development. The teaching materials will be accessible to UNDP personnel in 170 nations and territories, including other UN agencies. The partnership is viewed as a significant step towards identifying and offering practical blockchain use cases to support the achievement of Sustainable Development Goals.
