YouTube Rival Rumble Debuts Bitcoin, Tether Wallet for Crypto Creator Tips

Summary

Rumble, a publicly traded video streaming platform, has launched Rumble Wallet to enable crypto payments and tipping for its creators. The non-custodial wallet is integrated into Rumble and was developed using Tether’s wallet development kit and MoonPay’s payment infrastructure. It supports USDT, Tether’s gold-backed XAUT, and Bitcoin. The wallet aims to give users and creators greater financial control and promote ideals of freedom, decentralization, and free expression. Rumble Wallet is the first application of Tether’s Wallet Development Kit, reflecting the companies’ strategic alignment; Tether has invested $775 million in Rumble in 2024 and expanded its stake in the company. Despite these developments, Rumble’s stock has declined more than 50% over the past year.
