Zcash gets first European ETP following US ETF launch
Summary
21shares launched Europe’s first exchange-traded product linked to Zcash, listing a physically backed ZEC ETP on Euronext Paris and Amsterdam so investors can gain regulated exposure without directly holding the coin. It also introduced a physically backed ETHFI ETP for Ether.fi’s governance and utility token on the same exchanges. Both products charge a 2.5% annual fee, higher than many Bitcoin and Ether products in Europe. The launch follows the Grayscale Zcash ETF in the U.S. and reflects growing institutional interest in Zcash, which has rallied sharply over the past year and recently topped $1,500. Zcash’s rise has renewed debate about its role as a Bitcoin alternative and attracted attention from mining firms.
