Dogecoin Jumps to Highest Price in Months: Here's What's Going On
Dogecoin rose alongside Bitcoin’s broader crypto rally, briefly breaking above the key $0.10 level and reaching its highest price since June before fading. The move was fueled by renewed meme-coin enthusiasm, risk-on trading, and speculation around X’s new trading integrations with Gemini, Kraken, Coinbase, Moomoo, and Interactive Brokers, which some saw as a possible step toward greater Dogecoin utility. DOGE opened near $0.0999, spiked to $0.1059, then slipped back below $0.10 by the close. The rally was not isolated: Pepe and Shiba Inu also gained, and Dogecoin derivatives open interest jumped about 10% in an hour to roughly $350 million, suggesting leverage played a major role. Technically, momentum has improved, with RSI near 69 and ADX confirming a trend, but Dogecoin still sits under a bearish long-term “death cross,” meaning the broader chart remains structurally weak despite the short-term bounce.
