Aave’s proposed USAT gateway could cut off the return swap after a deposit

Summary

TokenLogic has proposed an Avalanche GHO Stability Module that would let whitelisted counterparties swap Aave V4 USAT deposit receipts (waUSAT) for GHO and back. Approval would be checked on every swap, so revoking a participant’s access could block recovery of waUSAT previously deposited, though GHO would remain freely transferable. Returning waUSAT would not itself return USAT or dollars: users would still need to withdraw from Aave and qualify to redeem USAT through Anchorage, subject to liquidity, fees and processing rules. The proposal also includes emergency freeze and seizure controls. A Snapshot vote and implementation proposal remain outstanding; key contracts, addresses, pricing and integration details are unspecified, and the document contains an unresolved discrepancy in its initial bridge-capacity figures.
