Another crypto wallet pulls the plug tomorrow with no exact cutoff, leaving users racing to rescue tokens
Ctrl Wallet’s full service ends on Aug. 3. After that, sending, receiving, swaps, and dApp connections stop, and recovery-phrase export is the only remaining function. Installed copies should keep working through Aug. 2, but no exact cutoff time is given, so waiting risks missing the window. Users should either export the 12- or 24-word recovery phrase and import it into another compatible wallet, or move assets to addresses they already control before Aug. 3. The recovery phrase restores access to the same on-chain accounts, but compatibility and derivation-path differences can affect which accounts appear, so balances and networks should be checked after import. Ctrl says there is no official migration token, compensation airdrop, or refund. Any message asking for the recovery phrase or promising those things is a scam. Enter the phrase only in the setup flow of a trusted wallet.
