Bitcoin nears seven-week high as stocks ignore Iran strikes, Trump 10% tariff plans
Bitcoin climbed toward $67,000 at the US stock market open, nearing a seven-week high, while crypto and equities stayed resilient despite rising geopolitical and trade tensions. US-Iran conflict escalated further, oil prices jumped to over $85 a barrel, and reports said new US tariffs may be coming, but traders largely ignored the risk-off signals. Some market participants said markets are “pricing in peace,” and S&P 500 futures remained strong, though JPMorgan’s Jamie Dimon warned investors may be underestimating the risks. On Bitcoin’s chart, a bullish “golden cross” formed between the 21-day and 50-day SMAs, but one analyst remained cautious, arguing the broader bearish trend is not broken until BTC reclaims the 21-week SMA near $69,720, which also aligns with the 2021 all-time high. He said there is little resistance until about $67,250.
