Bitget secures license for New Zealand expansion

Summary

Bitget said it has registered on New Zealand’s Financial Services Providers Register, which would allow it to offer foreign exchange, money transfer, custody, and portfolio management services in the country. However, the register did not show the listing at the time of reporting. Bitget is one of the largest crypto exchanges globally by trading volume and has been expanding its regulatory footprint across multiple jurisdictions, including Georgia, the UK, Italy, Poland, Bulgaria, Lithuania, and the Czech Republic. It also plans to use Vienna as its European headquarters and is building its EU strategy around MiCA compliance.
