Citi Lifts 12-Month Bitcoin Target to $113K, Ethereum to $3K
Citigroup raised its 12-month targets for Bitcoin to $113,000 from $82,000 and Ethereum to $3,028 from $2,240, citing stronger crypto-market activity, a supportive macro backdrop, and renewed ETF inflows. The bank now expects about $5 billion of inflows over the next year, though recent ETF flows have been volatile after a weak 12-month stretch. Citi said adviser and brokerage allocations should keep rising gradually. It also noted that the failed Senate vote on the Clarity Act narrowed the path to a market-structure bill, while SEC rule announcements helped soften negative sentiment. Bitcoin and Ethereum have surged over the past three months, reducing year-to-date losses to roughly 4% and 9%. Bitcoin remains below its October 2025 peak, so Citi’s target still sits about 10% under the record.
