Crypto Custody Firm Fireblocks Partners With Coinbase International Exchange for More 'Reliable' Trading
Cryptocurrency custody firm Fireblocks is partnering with Coinbase International Exchange to provide perpetual futures and spot trading features for institutional and retail clients. Fireblocks customers can now link to their Coinbase International Exchange account and safeguard exchange operations, such as withdrawals and deposits, using Fireblocks' governance and policy rules. Coinbase International Exchange, which received a regulatory license from the Bermuda Monetary Authority in May 2023, initially operated as a derivatives exchange for institutions before adding spot crypto trading for retail. Fireblocks uses Multi-Party Computation (MPC) cryptographic key sharing technology to eliminate a single point of compromise from API credentials and secure hardware enclaves to prevent further threats or inside collusion attacks. Customers can use Fireblocks' policy engine to configure user roles, governance policies, and approval workflows for exchange deposit and withdrawal operations.
